Help for the Designer

The "Designer" is a great tool that enables you to make your own shirts using the Designs in the shop, add custom text and apply it with colors of your choice to a shirt or other product. This means that you can create a totally unique shirt that no one else will ever own.

Also note that new designs will appear in the designer-application first, so that's another chance for you to make yourself a real fresh shirt.

It may be a bit haunting at first, but it is actually quite easy to use. Here is how :

When you enter the Designer it will look like this :

First make sure that your preferred language is selected in the list in the upper right corner.

Now, because I don't want a shirt with the skateboard-graphic currently selected I click on the "x" at it's upper left corner to delete it. If I wanted the board but on another shirt I would just have to select another shirt, the design will stay.

Because I don't want a red T-Shirt but a black Longsleeve I click on the "Products"-Tab, select "Men's Longsleeves", pick the " AA Longsleeve" from the list and select the Black Square to select a black Shirt.

And finally, because I want my print on the Backside I select it from the list above the product-view. Please be aware that you can have prints on the front and backside (as well as the sleeves etc.), just add your designs to one side and then choose another, the designs will stay. If you want to have more information about any shirt or product click on the blue circle with the white "i" (for info).
Then back to the Designs tab.

I want a red miniramp on my Shirt, so I select it from the list of designs. It gets placed on the shirt and is ready to be customized just like you want it.

First, select a type of print. The basic options are

Flex Print: a plastic-like print which is very durable and has strong colors. This is the best for designs with a lot of small details, mainly because big areas of this material tend to be a little stiff.

Flock Print: a textile-like print. Looks very luxury and is perfect for large designs because it is very flexible.

If you picked your type of print select the color. Both types come in a wide range of colors as well as some special flavors, prints that sparkle, glow or are reflective. If you picked a design with more than one color there will be small boxes labeled "1" and "2" (and so on) left of you design, click those to select the colors for the different elements.
Please note that (due to a stupid limitation by Spreadshirt) I can't set white as one of the design-colors. So if you select a design and one of the colors is set to grey it is most certainly meant to be white. So please choose white for that part of the design to see what it is really supposed to look like. I am sorry for the inconvinience.

Also use this tab to shrink/enlarge the design you picked, rotate it, flip or mirror it ... as you please.

One word of advice about the size : The displayed size is a rough estimation. Be aware that two prints with the same size will look very different on a shirt in size "S" and a shirt in size "XXL". When in doubt, pick a bigger size for your design.

I chose a large red flex-print for my shirt.

But I am not finished yet, I want some personal text. So I click the "Text"-Tab, enter my Text, and pick a font and size. Then I choose the same print-type and color, but you can of course choose a different type and color, because the miniramp and the text are two entirely different "objects". Note that you can have more than one design on each side of your shirt, to add another one just click in the white area beside the shirt-preview to deselect you current design and pick another one from the list.

After rotating the text a bit to line it up with the bottom of the miniramp I click somewhere in the white space next to the shirt to remove all those boxes and other helpers and take a look at my shirt how it will look.

Now all you need to do is to pick a size (another help about that is available here, I suggest you read it) and then you can purchase your own unique shirt, or just put it in the cart and make another one.
